The Township Clerk serves as the official record‑keeper for Nameoki Township, maintaining all ordinances, resolutions, meeting agendas, and approved minutes. Under Illinois law, the Clerk is responsible for preparing notices, posting public meetings in compliance with the Open Meetings Act, and preserving all township documents for public inspection.
The Clerk also administers oaths, oversees voter records in coordination with the county, and serves as the local election authority for township matters when required. In addition, the Clerk provides transparent documentation of township actions to ensure residents have clear, accurate access to their local government’s proceedings.
